Who we are
We’re not new here. Now that the doors have been opened, they’re not closing.
We grew up in these kitchens, behind these bars, in the backrooms where the real work lives. Shoulder to shoulder with the people who make the magic happen; the ones who keep the lights on, the music humming, and the plates moving.
Catbird is for anyone who loves great food and good company without the pretense. A place that feels tucked away and a little special, but still unmistakably South Berwick. Familiar, warm, and fully ours.
The food is thoughtful and seasonal, rooted in Maine and shaped by curiosity. The drinks follow suit: balanced, playful, and poured with intention.
We’ve always believed the best things shouldn’t be exclusive. They just need to be made with care, served with heart, and shared with people who actually enjoy being here.
